Crew Website Guide Released

The ISDC website includes a number of tools to help members collaborate and communicate and a guide has been released to familiarise new members with what’s available. The guide currently covers communication and collaboration tools and how users can personalise their profiles.

A link to the guide will be included in sign-up conformation emails, and will be displayed on new member’s personalised home pages until they receive their first post.

Collaboration and Discussion

A key part of your experience with the ISDC will be sharing ideas, news and views with your crewmates. The site offers a number of features to facilitate this.

Groups

Groups are Facebook-style collaboration spaces that allow members with similar interests or working in the area to share updates, exchange insights and debate ideas. The available groups can be viewed under the NETWORK menu option.

If you see a group that interests you, click the REQUEST GROUP MEMBERSHIP link at the top right of the group screen (under WELCOME).

Crew Profiles

Your profile represents you in the ISDC universe. As well as your username, you can add as much or as little to your profile as you choose. You can access your profile at any time by clicking your avatar (profile pic) in the top right of the window whenever you’re logged in.

By clicking the edit tab at the top of your profile, you can add or change details. Once you access the edit screens, you’ll see two new options under the edit tab:

Website Font Issue

We recently experienced an issue with the website that saw default fonts displayed for the majority of text on the website, instead of the designated font. This had a minor impact on the layout of all ISDC websites including a degradation in the visual design.

This has been resolved and the designated font should now be displayed. We have also resolved the issue the prevented detection of the problem.

So take a fresh look at the sites!
