The EMDAR console allows the tactical team to analyse and manage data from the vessel's EM detection arrays, which provides data to identify and locate other vessels in surrounding space.
The console is made up of two panels. One provides displays sensor data, while the other allows users to manage the interpretation of that data (in the form of identifying 'contacts').
The EMDAR waterfall module presents EMDAR detections on a distinctive visualisation that provides historical context and allows pattern analysis to help identify possible contacts.
This panel works in conjunction with TL-EMD01. It is dominated by the Contact Board module (in active mode), which allows users to add and manage EMDAR contacts.
Here's a first look at a live tactical exercise, giving a preview of what it will be like on Endeavour's bridge. The exercise assessment provides a series of snapshots of key moments during a Tactical Operating Environment exercise held in an 'active' simulator, including the data the trainees saw and what they were thinking when they made their decisions.
The contact board module provides a visual reference for managing EMDAR contacts. It is linked to other EMDAR modules via intergrid, which allows targets identified on waterfall displays to be directly created as contacts.
