Tactical Overview

Tactical systems include a range of weaponry, countermeasure and electronic warfare systems intended to protect the vessel against conceivable threat scenarios.

Generation Systems Overview

Shipboard power is supplied by main, auxiliary and emergency power generation systems. Power is distributed to ship systems by primary and secondary Power Distribution Networks (PDNs).

Evolution: Ship in a Bottle

This EMDAR evolution involves tracking a TSMO which is constrained within a set area of space. It provides training and competency evaluation on advanced interpretation of waterfall data and co-ordination with flight operations.

Evolution: Needle in a Haystack

This EMDAR evolution involves tracking a stationery TSMO that begins just on the edge of EMDAR range. It is intended to provide training and competency evaluation on interpretation of waterfall data, operation of contacts board and operation of narrowband EMDAR.

Narrowband EMDAR

Narrowband EMDAR uses the same passive EM detection system as broadband EMDAR but is far more directional. To achieve this, narrowband EMDAR can only focus on a very limited area of the TOE grid.

Command Syntax: Impulse Navigation

The main navigation mode for moving around star systems is impulse, which involves speeds of up to one-fifth the speed of light (about 60,000KM per second).

Vessel Position & Direction

The navigation system is based around Navigable Astronomical Objects (NAOs) – typically stars – whose position is fixed by stellar cartography.

Evolution: Figure-8

This impulse navigation evolution involves maneuvering the vessel  along a “figure eight” loop around two planets.

Broadband EMDAR

Electromagnetic Direction and Ranging (EMDAR) is a passive sensor technology that detects emissions along the EM spectrum to identify and track other vessels.
